We’ll meet at 7pm (weather permitting) for a hike to the lake while we enjoy conversation and collect any trash we find along the way
(this trail is usually very clean). We will take a shortened version of the orange trail estimated .75 mi each way, 1.5 mile total.
Wide flat trails. We will meet at Trail parking lot next to Saville Fire District, 281 Broadway Ave, Sayville, NY 11782.

Sans Souci is french for “without worry.” This 316 acre nature preserve is teeming with plants and animals. As you are hiking through the nature preserve, trail markers will inform you on all aspects of the preserve from plants to pollution, and water levels to fire damage.

The Sans Souci lakes were one continuous lake until the mid 1800’s when small dams were built to turn the land into a cranberry farm. Today you can enjoy these beautiful lakes undisturbed.
